​We’re looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join our event crew! No AV experience is required—just a willingness to learn, move fast, and work hard. We are hiring for our Spring crew with immediate openings.

​

What you’ll do:

• Load and unload trucks in all weather, often lifting 50+ lbs

• Set up and break down audiovisual equipment for corporate, nonprofit, and association events

• Work events that may take place late evenings, early mornings, and some weekends

• Support the team and learn the basics of AV setups with the potential to grow into technician or camera operator roles

• Most events are in Central Virginia/Richmond, with occasional travel opportunities 

 

About this position:

• This is gig-based work: hours vary based on events and are not guaranteed.

• All team members are W2 employees and paid hourly (with a 4-hour minimum per event)

 

Who we’re looking for:

• Experience as a mover, server, or in catering/physical labor is a plus

• Comfortable being on your feet, moving fast, and working under deadlines

• Desire to learn and grow in the events/AV industry

• Team player with good communication, positive attitude, and a sense of urgency

• Safety-conscious, professional, and adaptable to changing event needs

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

 

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy equipment (often 50+ lbs)

• Comfortable climbing ladders 

• Standing, walking, bending

• While our events are generally indoors, unloading the truck happens in all weather and loading docks aren’t always covered. Must be able to work outdoors.

 

Perks:

• $25/hour

• Seasonal, part-time work (peak seasons March–May & Sept–Nov)

• Black pants and polo required; company polo provided after initial training
